come to think of it.. empires doesnt have proper swimming animation. how can we swim with infantry holding their weapons and such. i guess the possible explanation is that the the NF's genetic engineering made gas exit the infantry's butthole and that propels the person. for BE, the nanites creates alternative negative and positive charges to propel the infantry through the water.. or some bullshit like that lol.

That isn't a live example. Mocap requires a lot of cleanup after recording it, especially for looping game animations, and there is a reason you need big studios to do it properly. So empires isn't getting mocap unless it gets a really good animator and a mocap studio. Also how exactly would you mocap swimming?

thats dependend on how hard you try, you should be able to do very similar moves to swimming. and i probably meant stool not chair. like this all you need is a few abdominal muscles and you can rest on your center of mass and move all limbs at the same time ...
Get one of those endless pools and motion capture on that. (The ones where you swim against a current.)
wonder if the waves and refraction/reflection of the water wouldnt distort the animations in a way that the outcome is worse then just doing those moves on a stool?
get a giant cereal bowl, problem solved. or for logical and already good solutions use a pool and just do like two strokes, then loop animation. Imagine if we had this stuff man, we could create the most awesome crap ever, gmod videos will now be done with this, which sounds as redundant as making computers in minecraft, but still awesome.
