Mortar + dig in

I've been told through a couple people (pickled was first) that if you have dig in and a mortar hits you, it takes almost complete damage in stamina

This can't be a feature since dig in is only what... 20% or so in damage?

 

Sounds nice, like a mobile foxhole.
But does this really work?

Did shoot Youzy with a mowtar on the "pug" today, his whole stamina went down, but didn't take any damage so.. yay..

 

Devs on IRC say its ok that a rifleman takes almost zero damage from mines and mortar.
Maybee its intended that you can clear minefields as rifleman with dig in.
Same for getting hit with 10 mortar shells in a row and survive.
Get a rifleman nade in the face and get no damage... asf

Coffeeburrito, Kane and Drag didnt even know that it exists and
wrote in IRC that its ok cause rifleman > gren.

 

Rifleman > gren regardless of dig-in.. Maybe if they played in clan matches or scrimmed within there own clan they would realize that its the only class used now along with engineers.

Well.. We've already stated why its wrong so many times in the mowtar thread, but its pretty sad the devs don't care that the most fun weapon in the game doesn't even take damage with a head shot...

I guess I will just do the team stacking thing in pubs with my clan from now on and stop playing clan matches because its not fun with only rifles.

 

You DO know that Dig In is useless when the rifleman runs out of stamina, right? So a rocket launcher hit, a mortar or two, or a full clip of pistol headshots will kill him.

Maxaxle did you even THINK about what you posted?

A-Hit with rocket= 95% chance miss.
B-Mortar or two!? His stamina will be more than half charged by then. Not to mention DIRECT HITS aren't an everyday thing.
C-Full clip of pistol headshots? IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN.

The riflemen dig-in bug only negates High-Damage Low-Time weapons. EG: Mines, Mortars, NFshotty, etc. The BEMACHINE PISTOL will work, because it's low-damage high-time.

Also, I am disappointed devs. Not that it matters or anything, right?

 

Since when did riflemen not shoot back?

if you want to kill a rifleman, get a tank, or another rifleman. : /

 

emp_district Dig in is kinda OP.. Sonecha runned against me with melee upgrade and I still had half hp, I defused mines and only took 5 damage.
