Ok... In empires the loosing teams already get butt raped and are lucky to field atelast 1 tank against the hordes that are shelling the base... Now you want some sort of a GDI: Ion cannon type of thing that will make the losing team shit their pants even further?
Even if a superweapon doesn't destroys a CV on impact, it will still have enough physics push force to flip it halfway across current size maps. I'd keep such powerful weapons limited to specific maps, made by the level designer (you can make a superweapon with target system in hammer, you just need skills and knowledge about the entity system to do it).
