I couldn't see a "modding" forum, so I opted to post this here instead. Hope you don't mind if I made an oops. 1. How does one create new vehicles? I wanted to mess around with adding a "Titan" tank to both sides (using the Brenodi Heavy Tank model), so I created a new base and preset in the Scripts folder, and a new HL2 vehicle template. However, when I tried to boot up a game with the new vehicle, I got a "Memory Could Not Be Read" error and the whole game came crashing down. 2. Is it possible to change the recharge rate on the Engineer's Tool? (Mainly because when I'm messing around I want to build things quickly). 3. Is there some list of all the "bones" in vehicle models which are available to put weapon mounts on? 4. Is it possible to change and/or add skill upgrades? 5. Is it possible to change how much stamina is consumed by sprinting or jumping? Thanks in advance for your help.
it may crash you ( ) but the only way I know is to use the sv_timescale command sv_timescale 1 is default. sv_timescale 4 will make the game run 4 times as fast, so building is quick. I think it can go up to 10 but i'm not sure.
I managed to get it to run at host_timescale 50 before it started having issues. But anyway, I'm gonna take a wild stab and say that Empires wasn't created with extended customizability in mind. Oh well! Maybe a future release...
I don't really think so.. Empires is already a mod of half-life. You're trying to create a mod of a mod and I don't think Kenzo would like it if someone took all his hard work, added and change some stuff, and called it their own.
Using a bomb bay weapon, originally made to be a weapon part of a bomber in the air that drops bombs. Place that bomb bay weapon in a jeep, make the damage 200, radius the size of a normal nuke. Fire, drop, big boom.
I don't think you quite get what I'm digging at. I want to simply make a few modifications to Kenzo's work, to suit myself more. I don't want to steal or plagiarize anything here.
