I just got empires yesterday, and it worked great for the first couple matches. But when i tried spawning on the third map, my mini map was gone, though I could click randomly and spawn. along with the minimap, my HUD, my start menu buttons, and the servers listed were gone. they all worked except that I couldn't see them. I have reinstalled the game and now the game freezes as well. the stuff doesn't disappear until I'm at the point of selecting a spawn.
At first I thought he played on a new map because some map testers upload maps that dont have minimap or blank spawn point map. but of course this is not the case. what kind of freeze do you get? like studdering audio/vido then freeze? also before u reinstalled the game.. did you delete the empires folder from your app folder located in your steam folder? i dont want ot sound like a useless tech support guy from overseas but.. yeh if u didnt delete it, it may have saved some previous settings or downloads despite reinstalling.
