This thread is for useful suggestions to update the field extract (you know, the thingy that you see when a map loads) because some things have changed from version to version which newbs may or may not know about. For example: RPG rockets do not damage buildings at long range. Arty cannons overheat enemy vehicles by a large amount. Use the minimap to see where your nearest vehicle factory or armoury is. etc, etc.
I'm thinking that on some maploads it should tell new players what the icons are for VF Barracks Armory etc.
Uh... you should add Engineer walls have many uses and can not only used to defend buildings, but unbuilt as quick cover, as stairs and can be even used to build small defense towers. Place your turrets on high ground, that way they cover a bigger area. The commander is best kept safe, but not walled in. His mobility is crucial to your success. When your tank is stuck on something, placing turrets under it's tracks can help unstucking it. etc etc
Since I have been in frankly a painful number of games with people who DON'T squad up (I'm not sure if there's one already, sorry if there is); Use teamwork! Joining squads will let other squad members see where you are, will know if you need help, and will give you extra points that you can use to get skills even faster.
Remember: Aim for the head Engineers are the key to victory. Don't leave home without them! When in doubt, shoot at it until it dies
Remove the extract about 9-mining. When building a tank, click the customise button to change armour, engine and weapons. Press the vehicle menu short cut (default v) to open the vehicle menu anywhere. This allows you to customise your vehicle and build it from anywhere in the vehicle factory.
