minimap

    Everytime I join viper and there is a custom map the minimap doesn't show which won't let me spawn. Then everytime I rejoin it, it redownloads the whole map.

    Does it look like this?

    If so, try update your client to 2.25b (If you haven't already)

    because of your internet connection ti might have skipped downloading the minimap files (a vtf and vmt) and the resources file, you can make your own for this map or you can download them online where they come with it.

    Viper doesn't include the minimap and resource files. I've had this issue with every custom map I downloaded from it. Just browse the mapping forum for the complete download (which reminds me, someone should update the Maps section of the Wiki)

    Really? I've had no problems with missing minimaps while downloading from Viper since 2.25. Maybe there is something else going on thats preventing you from downloading the necessary files?

    Yeah could be, I remember some console settings for allowing different types of download. Too lazy and busy to check though :p
