Yesterday, we tested mine strategy's and found out something very interesting: We both build up 2 heavy tanks, one BE and one NF, both with maximum composite armor and then we tested out. Both tanks were flying around like mad (as expected), both both tanks were damaged differently. While the NF tank was down to its hull and flashing red when driving over a 8 mine combo, the BE tank would loose only about 2 armor platings and could normally survive another 8 mine combo. If I'm interpreting things right, NF should have the better armor while BE possesses the better weaponry. But it looks the NF Armor isn't that good at all. Any comments on that?
did you stack the mines almost into one or did you spread them out ? Also I remember something about you not taking all the damage if you go very slow into a minefield. Cant remember if anything was done about that.
this is a bit hard to believe, no offense, can you confirm both tanks had the same amount of armor, the same type, and both ran over identical mine configurations, the tanks hit them at the same speed, and detonated the mines the same way? unless both tanks were tested identically, this has no merit.
that is because the mines actually explode a bit ahead of your tank.. that tactic will most likely ruin your entire front armour though (I use it a lot :D)
LordDz, you fail. the apc slot is intentional, but when the RPG damage difference came up the dev team was quite surprised. so was beerdude26, and he MAKES THE WEAPON SCRIPTS. this seems to be that RPG issues again, but with mines.
Did anyone just hear what he said? 8 mines takes down only 2 sheets? I know at least one of you has played escort before. 8 mines? 2 sheets of armor? No 8 mines 6 sheets of armor yes
no that actually sounds kind of right.. I was in a med tank hit 9 mines did a barrel roll and still had armor on all sides  sticky nades ftw tho
I can confirm this behaviour. tested on crossroads, 8 mines stacked, 8 mines in a small area - both same effect. If mines get layed in a mine and you drive that line, the damage seems to be all right. Only the damage of NF mines on one place seems to be wrong. If you have time, test it please.
Everyone knows that nothing applies to you, you do what you want..like survive a 9 mine with a medium
