Ok, now I also had some fun as scout with melee upgrade and squad hide. Is this overpowered? Or should we leave it because it is almost only usefull on escort.
It's fine. Melee hits are hard to land anyway with the latency issues and the lack of range it has. Melee not removing stealth while squad hidden may be the problem. Now if anyone can do that without squad hide....... Oh wait Too bad I cut off my console early too.
It's okay. It's too bad it's unusable at over 100 ping, but there's not much you can do about that, I suppose. Maybe it's a wee bit underpowered, but I don't mind.
Melee has almost nothing to do with it. That's just squad hide with a weapon that doesn't reveal you. Imagine if the same applied to a heavy machine gun. THAT would be overpowered. Melee itself is rather powerful, but it's not practical enough to be as useful as it is powerful.
What we clearly need. Are more melee weapons! Rifleman can get a machete, Scout can get a stiletto, Engineer can get a pipe wrench, and Grenadier can get a sledgehammer. But honestly, I would like to see a dedicated melee weapon, other than the friendly tap on the back of the head.
to OP congrats you bit off everyone and squad hid on district. You rock, lets nerf a real skill because its sort of kinda of just a bit bullshit on district
It works excellently on Streets of Fire, when you flank engineers. Scout + Melee Upgrade + Speed Upgrade + Health Upgrade + Hide = Super Spy
*Points to chokepoint on emp_canyon* Scout squad leader + Squad hide + Melee upgrade = Epicwin. Any valley-ish chokepoint is extremely lulzy to sneak behind.
I just wish I would register hits for me. Seems like I hit some one 5 times before it kills them with melee upgrade.
The only thing I dislike is that it's more powerful than guns in some instances. Guns should be able to do that, not melee.
smoke + melee upgrade + weapon silencer + hide + enhanced senses is generally the best combo for the ultimate rax/armoury killer. People don't even know you're there until they all respawn and figure out what's going on.
