    Why Hatchet?

    Is this the thread where we had the Atlatl?

    No, its not. I said hatchet because it is a utilitarian weapon much like the modern army knife. Hatchets are issued with special survival packs, rather than knives

    I've seen a guy take down 4 people at the same time with Melee upgrade. So ye, it can be useful.. :)

    I kinda think they should amp up melee damage a tiny bit and also reduce the giant knockback effect when you melee prone enemies....

    That giant knockback is way more annoying to the attacker...

    ^ ^ ^ this + massive accuracy penalty for people being hit.

    I say the melee just knocks people down as a ragdoll, but after 5 seconds they can get up.

    Melee is just a move which incapcitates another object allowing it to be properly disposed of (I.E.) a bullet to the head.

    So I say you run you hit them and while they're on the floor make them a Holy man.

    Instead of holding both weapons at the same time you could make the right mouse button switch between them instantly and left is shoot/stab.
