I just tried the stuff for the first time, and I gotta say, it's not bad. Not GREAT, but not bad. STRONG. It's like concentrated Soy Sauce, or... like... the essence of really strong cheese, if you could extract a cheese essence. A little goes a long way. Thoughts? It'd probably go well with, like, Sushi.
upon reviewing the wiki, this poll is remarkably close to the British advertising, ANYWAY. which makes me feel like a corporate tool, and thus, very dirty. Sorry. BUT I WANTED TO KNOW! I figured, hey, all those european players....
Never heard and the discription doesnt make me want to try it. Oh its british? I mean they eat everything with vinegar there D:
Tried it once as a kid thinking it was applesauce or something sweet. Boy was I surprised. Never ate it again.
if marmite is candidiasis, then so is all beer products, because that's what it's taken from--the fermented beer yeast. so BOTTOMS UP! Enjoy a frosty, cold Candidiasis, courtesy of Emp_Recruit.
Been eating marmite for a lot of my life (used to be a toast-fiend). Even then, I can't say I love it. If you get it right, like a lot of things, it's very nice...if you don't, then it's merely enjoyable. I have found a lot of people don't like it much though, just like the advertising :p One thing that is strange is that Australia's Vegemite (where I presume Marmite originated), actually tastes different, and I don't really like it as much. Their Cadbury's chocolate is also poor, I believe it has something to do with the climate - maybe the cooler temperatures of the UK means it cools quicker while being made...or something. *Cough* but I digress.. :p
