how would you balance canyon more with out becoming symmetric (or w/e word you use for that term)

This is for any mappers willing to map for empires.

 

Anybody want to volunteer to make the official tutorial map? I've got some ideas...

 

I volunteer for voice acting.

 

I already have a potential female voice actor, but I'll add you to the list. There are a number of ways to divide it up.

90% of the threads in this forums are map requests...

 

Surfing with heavys.... DO WANT.

 

The scaling of Empires physics will probably mean that surfing will be incredible. Do want.

I think we need more conquest-type maps which aren't so reliant on potentially dummy commanders. Besides, it's usually easier to work out balance on conquest maps.

We need more descending underground.

I demand a race-track type of map, maybe something in conquest-acarde style

NF and Be have both a separated terrain, where they can get one or two refs and build a VF. part of their terrain is a giant metal gate, which opens once both teams have an APC/jeep on the startline, which is the opening button for the giant gate, then both teams APCs race trough a huge wasteland, nobody could take on foot and then reach the final battlefield with loads of refnodes, hidings and places to set up a new base. maybe there should also be an event on the final battlefield that insta-kills the starting base of the oposing team, thinking about a flag the team has to capture to start that event.

I love my silly idea, leaving the problem of where to fit the CVs into that map.. :D

 

Mappers are way ahead of you. I heard various race maps have been in the works for months.

 

I'd give a try on a crazy map like that myself, if mapping HL2 wouldnt be so pain-in-the-ass workintensive. I could do a map like I sugested in 20 minutes in BF42 :D (I know this doesnt belong here and I will maybe be flamed, because everybody loves the mapping style of Hammer)
