Map mode: APC

    basically: each team starts with 1 apc, no res, you just have to move out and destroy the other apc.

    so, squad based work. you would need defenders and attackers. an interesting change? it could exist on all the current maps, but i recommend the small ones, like crossroads.

    the problem with this is
    1 noob/jerk steals apc drives off cliff or drives into enemy. you lose
    2 mapswill last all of 2 minutes as the two teams rush head long at each other turning into a frag fest.
    3 maps will last indefinatly as the apcs will just drive away from potential threats.

    its a good idea though.

    if you want to make it smaller i would prefure an infitry side
    basicly your only given the ability to construct res, turrets, Relay station (research) Tent(Barracks) another tent(armory) and a Bunch of boxes and open space(vehical factory)(extreamly light vehicals- new vehicals to be added, like ATVs, buggies, and power suits)

    i mean your idea is basicly to take the game as is and take the tank factor out.

    The maps would be so short, there should be class restrictions. (I.E. no grenaider or engineer.)

    i like this idea but i think it needs more thought and testing before you can just release it... its not any different if a noob drives off with the apc or the CV,,,

    I like this idea, the apc should have proper armor and the map lots of cover, the more cover the better, its better if ppl get lost than see each other on the other side of the map ;)

    one team are all grenadiers? counter: riflemen, scout + engineer healing the apc, not forgetting to hide the apc. The key word imo is hide, who is going to search for the apc and how are you gonna defend your own and also keep the enemy busy.

    Very nice idea. Its simple, yet with a good map, a fun game inbetween

    How bout BE gets gren and NF get Rifle or Engy,, but how would BE repair there apc? or would they need too? i think the grens would be chasing down rifle men and they would have to keep killing them to stop them from destroying there apc

    Uh Oh... Sounds like something in combat....

    But in any case I like it :D (Though I think the APC should still have 2 tank escorts...)

    The Idea I had for this gamemode would be that you would really need to stick with your squad. I had this one game where we were loosing, and not enough res to make any vehicles, nor any supply of res or enough to make another res. we were being bombarded in our top left base of duststorm, and so me and a squad of about 6 - 7 had a mission to make it to the ruins and destroy their comm before our defence failed. in a normal game, it would be a total waste of your team members time all to be running across a map like that, and having to wait for specific class before we could bypass certain turrets / opponeants, and being very careful with our rev'ing engineers. but it was great. sure we failed, but it was the single best experience on empires i have ever had.
