man what happened to mittoes like in dec-early march it was full 24/hr a day lol, so there is always lots of people to shoot at now it's always empty
Seems like it became infamous for strat-less play, and people started shying away from it? Maybe the people who seeded the server stopped.
The server failed. I'm talking before it lost all of its people. It was a horrible server. Good thing no one goes there.
lol but it did have its good times. I could research composite armour in 1minute and be able to afford full composite lt's on 1 ref....*sigh*

Same thought here. Only the admins are left, and it get very fast old to play with people who have immunity. :D But it proofs, in the end evil always fails on his own.
I enjoyed mittoes, because it was like the Instant Action button to Empires. There were lots of tank fights, quick research and res, it was more or less laid-back-er than the standard server. The players will play the game the way they want to, not always the way they're supposed to.

Wow, people spend way too much time complaining about a server no one forces them to play on. There can be admin issues on any server. Also, you could purchase admin on the Mittoes server and report admins that were abusing their power. Thus fixing that issue. Yet, that was rarely the issue. Most of the time it was lack of admins and griefers that was the problem. Mittoes was a good server, doing something almost no other servers were doing. I've enjoy my time on Mittoes and would like to play on a West coast server like it in the future. It's a great way to practice many different aspects of the game. All this whining about no strategy on the mittoes server is mostly untrue. There was plenty of strategy and I've seen the most creative strategy on mittoes where people are willing to take more extreme chances. If you don't like Mittoes that's fine, but some of you guys need to grow up. Your hatred of Mittoes server is unrational, the guy pay for the server with his money and he can set up his server how he wants. Some people enjoy it, others don't. If you don't enjoy it, then just don't play on it. We have plenty of threads filled with people belly aching over the Mittoes server already. Now actually on topic, I'm not sure on the details but it seem like mittoes just got fed up with the complaining, was too busy with things outside of empires, and I think not enough people were purchasing admin to offset the cost of the server.
The intent of the thread wasn't to flame mitties. Mitties did for empires what McDonalds did for burger joints... anyhow, The server itself had good ping, high player count, and generally was always full. That makes it good in any book. I dunno the particulars about admin abuse, as I stopped playing there due to some of the people I disagreed with. Anyhow, there was nothing wrong with mitties as a server, but perhaps things happened too often the same way over and over, and people just stopped playing there. More people now leaning towards playing long games where the massive amount of tanks clogging up the choke points isn't the primary reason you haven't won yet.
