Make "cl_maxrenderable_dist" not a cheat

    seriously why can ti be a cheat to see enemys farther then that?

    yet another bs of valve

    If you're asking why a command which allows you to see players further away is a cheat then I'm not sure whether you understand the definition of 'cheat'.

    how can it be a cheat?
    k, you can see them, but do enemies just cloak because they're far away, even tough they're out in the open?

    You can see enemies before they can see you.

    but still, it isn't logical that enemys disapear/cloak because they're far away

    But it is a cheat, which was the question.

    It is most probably done for performance reasons.

    if it gives a player an advantage in the game over another player then hell yes it's a cheat. but if the players and buildings render at the same distance, but

    given that computers are getting faster and faster, it might be fit to just increase the max renderable distance for everybody, and then those people suffering on bad PC's can turn it back themselves. That seems good to me.

    isn't cl_drawhud 0 a cheat at the moment too for some reason?
