how satisfied are you with the current clip/magazine/fist capacity on the infantry weapons in empires and their impact on combat?

are there changes you think that would drive positive change in the game?

Yeah, I think everything is quite good.
Except I think shotty needs to have 4 bullets. (with half damage of course)

    Bear suffers from that.
I find it to be a really shitty weapon compared to both nfar and bear2.

It is my dream to allow melee to interrupt a reload. I'd also like it to be possible to swap weapons in the last 10% of a reload animation without cutting it off.

Yea, I would agree with this. BEAR's high fire rate coupled with its small magazine size leads to you running out of ammo way to quickly. I would suggest adding 5 more rounds to the BEAR or lowering its fire rate to make it more manageable.

In terms of the smgs, I find myself having to reload the smg1 constantly, which is not the case with the smg 2 despite the smg2 holding five more rounds per magazine. For all other weapons, reloading and magazine size are relatively negligible. (other than the really obvious choices like shotty pistols, mortars, etc.)

i think it's appropriate for the rifles to have high fire rights and small ammo capacities. it makes a break in the pacing of their combat so they can't constantly fire. it might be beneficial to give them more overall ammo with smaller mag capacity

I really notice this for gren weapons, even afteryou have loaded the rpg or mortar in them you have to wait for the animation to complete which means bringing the weapon back to a firing stance before the reload has completed which doesn't feel intuitive.

Well, "throwing" isn't really a melee action?

Magazines always tend to not being enough.
Reloadings always seem to just one moment longer than they should be.
