It would be nice to have it so that if you have a camera within proximity of a turret then the turret would be able to target and shoot stealthed scouts. I mean if the camera allows us to see the bounding box for the scouts when their are cloaked it would make sense that they could communicate that to the turrets as well..
Thats not true. I was a hidden scout on escort at the last flag. There were 2 cams there, and I was never spotted. I even killed both those cams via melee after like 10 minutes, I was never spotted.
You can see hidden scouts with a camera, the people you were playing against are probably blind/retarded/afk/whatever.
They walked RIGHT BY ME several hundred times. They had no problem finding and killing my teammates though.
It spots you less frequently, but imo you're spotted all the same. I wish this wasn't the case, scouts are ultra annoying.
What I found is that if you go into the camera proximity hidden it wont see you, but if you come out of hide within the proximity and go hidden again it will still spot you. Not sure if this is a bug or feature.
I'm sure this is related to people still showing up on the minimap and with red diamonds, even after the camera that spotted them dies.
True true, I thought this was for a limited residual camera image that stayed for a specific duration, not a bug.. but who knows.. Either way are we in support of cameras being linked to turrets? I mean maybe instead of cameras we should have motion sensors or heat sensors or whatever.
probably a feature. if you go into hide under fire from a turret, the turret will keep shooting you, hiding wont shake it once it starts shooting. probably meant to be the same for cams
