I am, it's fun to snipe. A lot more fun than any other FPS I've ever played. And the headshots are really rewarding! [And I mean sniping by hand, not VATS]
I hope to god you haven't played deus ex yet if you haven't you should its what fallout 3 should've been (you know, awesome)
I bet you did like me, took bloody mess perk at the first sight of it? :p I really like how the game.. Dares to stand out a little bit, maybe not much, but a little bit.
Bloody mess sucks, it ruins the awesomeness of chasecam bullets slamming into bandit heads leaving eyes and jaws flying away, instead it replaces that with a quick gib that had nothing to do with where you shot them.
It seems like there's a % to do it, aka sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't. Another Perk I lüve is the ''Mysterious Stranger'' I was like 100 meters away and had 1% to hit him in vats. Thought, why not go for a try? Totally missed, but then mr cowboy showed up and shoot him down.
^ it has a main story? i play it like i did the first 2 (well, after the timed part of #1): just run around and to every random mission i come accross. i guess i do accidentally do the main one sometimes.
You know, the main story, where your dad dies, and then you die, and then the game ends? I'm sure you might have confused it as a miscellaneous quest, since it was so short.
