Grizzly forced me (j/k). Go read if you're interested: http://www.halflife.nu/2007/11/21/krenzo-interviewed-about-empires
that's a great interview right there... if I didn't know how smart krenzo was I would have sworn those were prepared answers because they were very good to read. "Yeees, Krenzo. Yield, yieeeld… Oh, hrrrm! Much thanks to Krenzo (and Grizzly a little tiny bit)! Some fine answers indeed. " ....hahahaha what went on there?!
That was really a great read. It sums up the whole situation really well for new players, and entices them with pictures of Grizzly's tasty bits (no, not those...)
nicely defended from those qus! Good job on the interview, let pray to God he wasn't bluffing about those lag statements :-P
How many people reckon Krenzo was chanting in his mind "don't say i'm evil, don't say i'm evil, don't say i'm evil"? :p
and blimb carriers?! :D :D :D :D :D "emp_recruit get's pwned by aircraft carrier driven by Opie...."
Wait a second, that codename eagle box art... It has the Symbol of the Jekotian Empire on it, the Double Headed eagle! What the fuck? This interview is rigged!
Umm... Double headed eagle is actually Soviet Russian's old symbol if we stick to realism. Edit: Umm.... "Krenzo: From my experience, Valve is very supportive of mod developers. Anytime I’ve had a problem or needed help in identifying a bug, I’ve been able to e-mail Valve and get a very quick response, and they’ve helped me fix two major bugs in Empires 2.0 and much more." Didn't you say that Valve couldn't care less about the bugs in mods before the same bugs happened in their games too? I think it was something like you have had a bug in the Empires for a months and you had reported it to the Valve for ages ago and they had done nothing to it. When it finally happened in their games too they fixed it within a few days... Krenzo, don't lie to me now...
It's harder to get them to fix bugs in the engine unless it's affecting them, but if I have a memory dump that crashes in the engine, they usually look into it for me and tell me what could be causing it. That's usually enough for me to fix the bug in Empires.
I think the interview was focused too much around things that aren't in Empires yet and as stated, won't be in Empires for quite a while.
Alright, thanks. Nice interview to be honest. I liked it. But I'm just a little bit concerned about aircraft's HUDs because the center green HUD which you told about in the review may be quite hard to understand rather quickly if you haven't played any modern flight simulators at all. But the interview is nice. Edit: Oh yeah, true I agree with Rat's point.
