June 29 - If you're not having fun yet, you should be - PUG

This Week's community Pick Up Game will be happening just like all the other weeks, at 19:00GMT and 19:00EST on the Official server.

I should be able to play both games, wheee!

If there's anything new this week, someone say something, I can't remember if there's supposed to be new stuff by Bodrick or something. I like having an Objective with these PUGs, other than just fun, which is plentiful.

 

objective: make the best community race track ever.

 

How about we test JJ45's map.

 

OH! OH! OH! I had an idea yesterday. WHY DONT WE HAVE RACES ON ESCORT?! That map is practically MADE for jeep races. First one to start from the BE base and plunge into the icy cold watery death at the NF final flag wins!

The map is all laid out, all you have to do is decon certain wooden barricades and construct other barricades, blow the wall to the final flag, and NOT construct the bridges at the fourth flag. You go whenever the BE gate opens up. Bam! Instant race.

In case it wasn't already obvious, I'll be at one or both PUGS.

Just so you know... THIS IS A WAR GAME NOT A RALLY GAME

 

Actually, it's a really fun racing game too!

All you have to do is go to your config file and write

bind "w" "say RIIIIIIIIDDDDDGGGGGEEEEE RAAAAACCCCEEEERRRRRRR"

It's that easy!

And if you would like to play the war game aspect, just show up at the regular PUG time and you can fight.

 

Racing is fine when theres too few people to play regularly, but at the moment, testing should take priority.

It's not gonna hurt testing if people show up early for racing. That doesn't change the PUG time, it adds variety to the mod which can only attract more players, and it ensures that there's enough people playing when the actual PUG starts. The only people who show up for the racing are the people dedicated enough to play through quite a bit of the PUG.

 

Download teh camoz! Just so I can get a bit of feedback They don't work on all the maps yet, but they do on some :D It goes in your empires_108/materials/Imperial folder (you'll see the folder that it replaces). These are only camoz for the space nazi infantry at the moment, as I havn't been able to decompile the vehicles.

 

I can't make it to this PUG, i'm going to my dad for the weekend, and after that i have to do vacation work for 2 weeks. I can still make it to the next PUGs, though.

You're talking about the map i made? You can find a download link in the jeep racing thread, but i doubt you can get it on the V1.08 server.

 

What about testing emp_something?

 

Lol. That ridge racer part made me have a few good laughs. :D

Also think about it when everybody would have binded that. :D

PS. I'll come for the racing thing even it is bit hard to race when your ping is +100-170. Racing would require less thn 100 ping.
