In 1.08 it is getting to be a popular tactic to have jeeps rush the tanks and push the tanks around or even, with luck, turn them over. Ir the real world if a jeep runs full tilt into a tank the jeep and it's driver die. Tanks can also run over jeeps and crush them. I would like to see the "super jeeps" detuned to their realistic capabilities. Like transportation????
Jeeps needs to be nerfed greatly, people drive jeeps under tanks, and then ferry them into mls and grenadiers. They also like to block you in somewhere, then get out and mine your tank. If a tank runs over a jeep, it should get crushed and die immediately
Heheh, coincidentally I jjust had dubee carry my heavy tank on his jeep around half the map today.. No doubts, if a jeep hits a tank at full speed it should be no different than it hitting a wall.. Should stop dead in its tracks and the multi-tonne tank shouldn't feel anything more than if a bird flew into it.
i think its fun and isnt nessecary to take out.. if you notice it only takes 2 shots to kill a jeep.. its pretty damn easy.. i think eventually this should be fixed but not before 1.8.. unless its an e z fix
Me :D Though I usually only do it only during Tank Wars though (or supposed tank wars in which I mean one team cheap shots the other team by blowing up the comm, I say you people deserve to drown & be dragged around for ruining the fun)
and its odd how a jeep hitting a tank can go under it, but a tank cant drive over obstacles on its own.
I say a jeep should be able to take heavy vehicle damage for running into other vehicles. Not buildings, but only vehicles.
I think Slith has a good idea with collision damage applying for jeeps. I think armed jeeps should also be implemented, it'd change the way jeeps get used. Ooo, I just had an idea that might help balance LTs... Give the BE jeep a two-slot MG and the NF jeep a one-slot MG. Thus, the BE could research anti-tank weapons for their jeeps early to counter LTs (and the BE jeep would rival the LT for mobility and speed), and the NF would still have LTs, and also anti-infantry jeeps to harry enemy infantry and keep grens off their LTs. EDIT: CRAP! I was going to add something here, but I forgot what! NUUUUU!
Maybe give the NF jeep one slot for cannon or one slot for machine gun, but not enough of a weight limit to fit both at the same time.
That could work. The only 2 slot anti vehicular MGs are Plasma and HE? MGs are so rarely researched, I don't even know for sure Grenades.. or a rocket slot? maybe. But please no cannon slot.
Wouldn't the jeep have more of a 50 heat limit anyway? So it get about four single shots out before overheating?
so the ramming verdict is: jeeps can take vehicle damage (significantly) if the object that they ram is an enemy vehicle ??
Actaully, if you think about it, a Jeep should have a very high heat limit because its all open, plenty of space for the heat to disipate, especially if the weapon is mounted on top and being cooled by the breeze as the Jeep moves. I have a new Jeep ready to go but Krenz would rather be eaten by wild dogs than implement it.
DonMegle is there a way to add weight to the tanks so that the jeeps can't get under them. Like make the jeeps just bounce off?? If that doesn't work I have a German Shepard who bites on command...LOL
