The minimum consent of age for adults (+18) in most US states is 16, the same consent of age as England. Many states have lower consent ages if they are both minors and/or have a small age difference (e.g. a 12yr old can consent to a 15yr old). I don't care for a consent age of 13 like some European and Asian countries.

No one really cares for the drinking age of 21, but there is no real push (aside a recent group of university presidents) to change it as its sparsely enforced.

Maybe people are more "tolerable" to grown adults taking advantage of children in some parts of Europe. At least from my experience in the US and its media, there would have been a VERY different reaction if the sexes were swapped. Even someone likable like Justin Timberlake would have a PR nightmare if he invited a 12yr girl on stage and kissed her on the lips.

No, everyone has some kind of restriction in his opinions, I'm just saying that the opinion you made this topic about is restricted like some guys nuts after a vasectomy.

You imply that if carrie underwood would be a guy, a brief kiss on a underaged girls mouth for show (after being asked for one) would be considered child molesting by mothers in general while I would say that it's rather a very small amount of groups of mothers (f.e. the ones from the US, not saying they are the only ones giving a crap, but ya kno'), making this topic for everyone else a tad ... absurd.
