I'm curious on how one of those UFOs would stand up to a modern Air to Air missile. Or how easily a squad of marines could out range and devastate probably a battalion of 1945 equipped Nazis. ...Just send in some gunships, actually.

Reminds me a lot of sky captain, similar look, and similar pulp fiction plot. Probably fairly easily, you just need to carry an oxygen supply for the engine, not efficient but nothing in this sort of story is. You can get it to work the same way you do a rocket, using the same fuel albeit in far smaller quantities.
Well in 1945 Germany was making the first assualt rifle, night scopes, and even their helmets are in the design of modern marine ones, they were twenty years ahead in technology. I'm fairly sure the squadron of Marines would get a run for their money considering a Sturmgeverh 44 (spell check) is more accurate then an ak47. Considering that having technology 20 years ahead of the worlds at that time you are better equipped then most undeveloped countrys today. --EDIT-- It seems this takes place in 2018 I'm fairly sure that the nazis will get annihilated by any sort of ground forces by then...
