I've not messed much with making my own installers...but can't an installer be written that checks that you have the previous version installed? (IE, 1.07 checks that 1.0 was installed, 1.071 checks 1.07 was installed) I mean...I don't understand how: a. people don't get it that there are three files, and see the numbering scheme and install right and b. that they just DL the latest verison (1.071) which is quite small, and think a file a couple megs in size can be a whole fucking mod. I mean, you don't see people trying to install BF2142 1.20 patch, then use the CD or something....or maybe you do...either way....it'd be a cool feature to have a little check in there?
If its not, one could easily enough be made, all you need is fresh, untouched, install, and then put it into a SFX.
