Infantry Symbols

Have you ever ran in to a instant where the commander gave you the command to build a building even though your a riflemen, or a someone requests a squad power you don't have. My point is that we need a better way of showing classes to teammates. Thats why I made these symbols below...

(I gave it a black background to better see it, in truth it's transparent)
1st Grenadier
2ed Riflemen
3ed Engineer
4th and 5th Scout (due to it being in debate)

Place these symbols above the players name when it's visible and next to squad names. The commander, teammates, and maybe spectator (doubt it) are able to see these symbols.

PROs
better teamwork at the beginning of the round (due to people knowing what each other are)
CONs
coding

Also, what about a silenced pistol / something connected to stealth for the scout?

 

Not so keen on the icons, but the idea itself is really good.

Grenadier should have a mine (smaller than a rocket icon, makes things less cluttered).
Rifleman should have the accuracy thing.
Engy should have the spanner.
Scout should just have a sadface =(

 

The icons are meh but i love both the scout icons.

 

Can't people tell already by the letter in front of the names ?

Grenadier and rifleman look too similar, switch the crosshair from scout to rifleman mebbe, and use binocs for scout.

 

ok, I added 3 new symbols;
the belt for the riflemen
mines for the grenadier
calculator for the engineer
I also added a 3ed color gray

Until we get icons we can agree on, this could probably be implemented using the class abbreviations.

 

Maybe gren could have a kind of comic explosion or a tank with fire coming out of it.

I like this idea much more then the suggestion of having your avatar above a players head.

On another note did Grantirthor actually say that because I see "Last edited by blizzerd : Yesterday at 10:42 AM." Below his post. If he did I may have to have a talk with him. If someone wants to insult another do it on an intellectual level
