In most games Players don't use Smokgrenades, but why? They are useless:o .

My idea is to give the Scout a handy Smokgrenadeluncher with 3 Smokgrenades (fires one Grenade after one). So he could fire them much further than, thrown by hand. The result would be a smokewall (or what ever).:D

What would be the use of?
Art of war is a lot about hiding, so it would give you the ability to hide you or others easily.

Smoke don't stop Bullets, but it could prevent you for some time, that Bullets are fired at you.

Pretty cool would be a class-update for the rifleman ( thermic-view):|ove: to look through the smoke (only on small distance). Torrents should be not affected by smoke.

This would get a lot of new taktiks for infantry, on how to move and hide. If you don't see something, you can't fire on it.

Feel free to discuss my idea.

There's really not much difference between giving him a launcher for the grenades and the current status quo. Besides, smokes are quite useful on the infantry maps, though some bright-spark idiots decide to spam it everywhere and bring my fps down to 10.

I'd rather have work done on a proper grenade launcher, which can go then to either Grenadier or Engineer.

But how often do you see people use Smokegrenades? Not really often, there is much more potential in it.

How much more often you think you would see them if they were in a launcher? It doesn't matter how far you throw it. Smoke grenades as they are are only useful in enclosed spaces.

A nearly unused item is useless in a game. Thats what I tried to say and gave an idea how to change. If you don't like its okay, its just an idea.

It's not that I don't like it, it's that I question the usefulness in regards to smoke grenades. For smoke grenades, you either throw it into an empty space or at a chokepoint. The purpose of smoke grenades is to let you move from cover to cover, or it can be used at chokepoints to allow you to gain an upper hand on the enemy. They can't shoot out of the chokepoint at you because they can't see where you are.

There's not much point in throwing them further, or faster. On larger maps, its near useless because the smoke radius is so small, but in cramped areas like district, it's a godsend. Proper use can let you move towards the enemy under relative safety.

    Give it a nice feature:

Its sticky and can be stickyd against walls and buildings, if so it releases a sound wave wich pentrates the ground and will cause a sand worm to come up and eat the building and/or vehicle.
Then it will explode with the pwoer of a neutron bomb and vaporize all infantry.
It will then unleash a massive amount of gas and a gas cloud half the size of mvalley istant killing all infantry and stunning vehicle engines wich makes you unable to move out of the poison gas cloud - instant kill.
After that it will have a massive earthqauke destorying all buildings.
It will then turn into a blackhole wich will then suck up the entire map.

All this in a grenade launcher, 3 grenades a clip.

    That would be nice :D

    That's a liiiiitle much....

I think smoke grenades should be replaced with flashbang grenades. And they would, of course, blind and semi-deafen any enemies looking directly at them.

Protip: in class selection, click on the grenade icon and you can select different types of grenades.

I thought that was the point.

You spam smokes to cloud up the battlefield, ruining everyone's performance and halting the gameplay. It's like tactically-applicable griefing.

The only time I have seen smoke-grenades be useful is with maps that don't allow cameras.
The only maps that I can think of like that is Shadows...

How about just making enemy soldiers cough when they're inside/close to the smoke, so you'll be able to hear them; but not see them. Scouts should have gas masks.
