Honestly, I find it annoying about the two extremes of how people deal with war-crimes. On one extreme, you have Germany, which insists on censoring it, apologizing for it at every opportunity and constantly living in fear of it on the international scene. On the other extreme, you have Japan, which goes so far as to pretend they never happened, and in certain cases even glorifying it.

Everyone needs to learn to accept their past, make reparations and compensation for it, and then be done with it. Germany has managed the first and second parts more than enough. What's done is done, and most no one outside of Germany gives a shit anymore. Not even Israel cares nearly as much as Germany does.
