Implement infanty radar (gaint cameras commanders can drop) already and get rid of building auto spot. Rename current radar to like satellite uplink or something or like research faggot. secondly give scouts some kind of infanty targeting ablitiy. BUILDING AUTO SPOT IS RETARDED. because you'd only have one of those in a base, not every single building in base would be autospot like we have it now.
Except the autospot building would exceed the range of every building in the base, thus being even worse. Passive monitoring is terribad. This idea is bad, and autospotting is bad. All of that shit needs 100% removing.
Unless we limit them to about 3/4'ths the range of cameras and have a buildable limit of 5 or so. Protect what's important (CV, main entrances, radar), everything else is risked.
Arbitrary limits on what you can build are gay. Limits for the sake of the server, no, but just "YOU CAN'T BUILD MORE BECAUSE IT'S OP" is stupid.
Exponentially increasing timer. Start with 2, 3'rd buildable in 1min (since game start), 4'th in 5min, 5'th in 10min, 6'th in 17min, 7'th in 30min, 8'th in an hour. Number controlled by players in server / 5. 10players ~ 2 cameras, 15 players ~ 3 cameras, caps at 30 players. Number controlled by amount of buildings a team has. Server cvar. Map-dependent. They seem great for front-line deployment as well as watching your base. Their versatility alone is a great reason for arguing their addition, let alone the fact that they can replace the much-hated auto-spotting.
this building when dropped by the commander runs out of juice after 5 minutes if the commander wants constant coverage, he has to spend resources constantly
That; alternatively it requires a 'recharge' by an engineer. 50 points (25 with rep. upgrade) gives the camera 3 minutes of charge. Gives comm somethin' to do around main and his own CV.
there isnt now sprayer, it used to be but without targets unless comm builds everything himself there really isnt
i was, am and always will be - targets are wallhacks ... thankfully devs aint as close minded as parts of the community. but well i guess its because those guys suck balls now, no slight idea of how to move on a battlefield and now they dont even see the targets through walls. no wonder they whine ...

Most players just use modded textures in this game. So the removal of targets just un-evens the playing field even more. Or maybe more players should drop/build cameras.
