I don't think, anyone remebers me, but... After one year of playing almost WoW only, I'm back to show up for 1.08. To help finding bugs and, of course, to have some fun. I still think, there are 3 Source-games, that you must have: DoD:S, SourceForts and Empires. No need for anything else - even WoW Well, perhaps TF2 or some Multiplayermod for Portal, that might come, but that's future. But what I noticed after having Empires not played for one year: Teamplay changed. I don't what to say gameplay, because it is molstly the way, people interact with each other and the strategies and tactics that are used. There example: There are nearly no squads anymore. It seems, the players don't think, the free skill for joing a squad, isn't that important anymore. And the matches are much faster, no engi-rushes for refpoints but scout-rushes against enemy engi-rushes for refpoints, but their are also scouts...so these days are hard for an old engi like me. p.s.: damn, much new to read on this board...
Welcome Back Tom! I remember you used to post really sweet "in the tech news" kind of posts, like this one http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=716 which was ultra sweet. The stacks thing was ultimately stolen (or bought, I don't care) by Apple for Leopard. yeah, welcome
