If gmod can do it, why can't we?

    now that the commander has nearly nothing to do these days, can this be considered?

    So long as these auto-target harryhoot and he cannot use them himself, I'm all for it.

    Something like this should be usable only by the commander, and it should be on a timer instead of costing res.

    Commander can call an air-strike every 5-10min etc.

    99% chance this isn't gonna get implemented so not like I'm expecting it.

    That's LUA code. Empires does not have LUA. Even if it did, I'm not sure the same code would be applicable. (If this were to change, I believe the official response would be "do it yourself".)

    Thus, you must assume that this would need to be coded from scratch. You also haven't dedicated a single brain cell to the thought of how this would affect gameplay, something even alucard was capable of.

    Gmod uses heavily modified lua libaries etc and a huge amount of functions that garry has added to the source code of source (although those bits of code aren't likely used in most lua)

    Nonetheless, this is basically impossible to port over directly or indirectly.

    Not really, Garry has access to the source code of the engine, but all of GMOD is implemented using the dlls, there are no changes made to the actual engine as he doesn't want to branch the engine and miss out on Valve's engine updates.

    That mod is a whole bunch of different Lua written by different people that's been hacked together. If we were looking for mods something like these would be better:
