i was playing apb last night and i got grouped up with this low rank gold. i got bountied during mission and he's like, "can i killz you for bounty?" i tell him sure, but tell him that i don't like the way he types. he asks me why and i tell him that the 'z' makes him seem like a 14 year old. "D:" "well, am i right?" "yeah minus 2 years" oh wait... savage 2? is the commander mobile in that game or not?
I told everyone about is a while back ingame. Its pretty fun, the melee mechanic is entirely skill based and you have like a hot bar of skills to use. Its like Age of Empires with werewolves and magic. There is a human team and a Druid team. Each one has very diverse units and skills, such as the human team has access to muskets and rifles, while the druid team has a wide verity of magic to use. The commander is in a castle and you have to destroy that castle to win. Now savage 2 is free 2 play and just as dead as empires is. They have like 4 to 5 servers and everyone regularly plays on two of them. A Us and EU server. Besides the setting and mechanics, the only difference between us and them is that this game was being sold retail and was made by a company, while Empires is a mod. That's about it, we are basically indirect brothers to these people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLfFZ2hYQOw
If Empires is Burger King, then that must really mean we suck, like, a lot. Nuclear Dawn gets Arbys which sucks more than BK. We're more than that, seeing as how 90% of JPL and like 60% of BSID played HON all day errday before DOTA 2 came out.
I played Sav2 before Empires, shit's pretty whack in that game, in a good way. Only problem is the p2w system, because S2 whore out all their games and ruin them, just like they did to HoN.
Even now like 5-6 years later, there's still a lot of mad over the CW-MAD split with a few of the old CW guys. That's actually kind of impressive.
Haha, not so much im afraid, it's just how I wanted to say that im glad to see old grandpa here back. Plus, drama was always a core part of emp community so I figured that would fit in nicely. It's not like I want to commemorate the betrayal of nebajoth by slap, seeing as ,IIRC, the first thing the "loyalist" CW crew did after that, was to go rogue and play a bestest scrim with HSM vs epic.
Really? To be totally honest I dont remember much of who and how of the aftermatch of the split. I only remember nebajoth being utterly butthurt that none, except maybe ikalx, cared about what he said.
