Of a map so cool it beats all other maps... perhaps PERHAPS even pudding forts.
Its a map. With a bunch of pipes. People run around in the pipes. And even drive tanks through some of the bigger pipes. Its just a huge system of pipes. Going under over all around. Some are dead ends, others lead to each other. And its pretty cool.

Blight started a map named tunnels that follows this theme, i'd have to go look for it, it was an escort type of map. emp_tunnels was the name i believe

Pipes... tubes are too organized... too gridlocked.
Pipes are like... underground tunnel city.

Yeah i did one too, you started out in oposite corners and you had to build your way across the map on these pedestals that floated in the air.....

The dead ends are more a place for camping out or setting up ambushes.
The map is suppose to be so incredibly complex, you'd run into deadends on accident.

Plus, they make good staging area for attacks. For example, there maybe a deadend tunnel on top on a wide tunnel for tanks. Infantry can climp up and throw grenades down as tanks roll by.

And the portals can like rotate partners every few seconds. So you can escape pursuers by porting to a different area

func_teleport. Imagine that High speed jeep chases. Say how come no one ever uses nf jeeps in drive-by shootings with assault rifles and smg1's and chases opposing force jeeps while shooting mortar/rpg at them and shooting at them THAT WOULD BE SO COOL LETS GO DO EET.

Teleporters would be interesting, just need to think of a way to make it look good and work smooth, shouldn't be too hard.

Yea don't want people popping up like 3 metres over ground. has to be smooth so that movement speed stays the same. And if its possible for vehicles then its super awesome. Why don't we make a scooby-doo-esque map where there are hallways full of doors and when you enter a door you randomly teleport to another making this long scene that is FUNNY as the characters/players are chasing eachother around these doors that are connected with every room.

Well the actual func_teleport entity is perfectly responsive, it instantly moves people from one place to another without any interruption, the issue lies in getting it to do that without people disappearing and reappearing visibly without any effect.

The obvious method is to simply put a big flash effect and turn it on for an instant, which is how most games do it, but that mean you need to turn the thing on and off, if you want a constant portal which works smoothly, you need a more cunning setup.

I'm thinking maybe hide the transfer point inside a really bright energy field thingy, so you walk into it, and maybe there's a push effect to keep you moving, and then you teleport into an identical bright area on the other side, and then walk out of it. it would seem like you walked through a bright wall and ended up somewhere else and nobody else should be able to see you.

For tanks though you'd need something different, hell I don't even know if you could teleport a vehicle.
