I hate the current infantry gameplay. So I intend remake it.

    Hey guys, yeah it's me, wooooo.

    I'm sick of welding myself to the ground, I'm sick of you welding yourself toe the ground. So I intend to rebalance empires.
    Today we had a quick playtest with some new weapons, and I'm pleased with how it went, many ideas were shared, many were good, I have come to this list of loadouts and ideas.

    The intention of the changes is to turn combat from crouching and firing, to having at least some movement involved. Currently moving in a firefight is suicide. I want to change that suicide into a tactical choice which can benefit you if you do it at the right time.

    Keep in mind that the new weapons I intend are not official yet.

    I plan to have very few weapons that have at any time an aimcone that is pinpoint.

    This may not happen, but it is not a suggestion, I am going to script the weapons to behave in this way, and the devs will either give me thumbs up and help me modify the class loadouts, or they will not, whatever happens, I hope you all find this interesting.

    Can be used to place a temporary camera where you look (essentially you spot all infantry in your binoculars view
    Minesweeper
    Shows all mines on your and teammates minimaps, mines now have a small dim red sprite above them that only the grenadier can see.
    Support has scout skills.
    Sabotage no longer takes 50% health off infantry spawning.
    All BE weapons do slightly less damage and have slightly smaller cones than NF.

    If this alt gets banned it is entirely empiresmod's loss.

    Moderator note: You realise that this is ban evasion? I am at full liberty to ban this account, and extend your original ban even further. That's correct, extending it from permanent to permanent and a month. I'm sure you were banned permanently for a good reason, instead of evading ban for the 3rd time, how about you contact the admin who banned you? By evading this ban you risk getting your friends (tovarich) account banned as well.

    He was banned because he evaded a previous (and permanent) ban, not because of any other reason.

    There should be a form somewhere for requesting un bann. With a quiz of the forum rules and a brief essay portion.
    For those who really are sorry and want to contribute but cant request an unbann w/out breaking rules.

    Perhaps it could be a probation period.

    In reply to the topic. turning the scout to a support class would be interesting.

    i think empty did more then his time and should have been unbanned long long ago

    anyway, this thread is not about the soap opera that is empty

    i played with some of the temporary weapons of that script, its really good and some ideas are really refreshing

    keep up the good work empty, even if it gets you banned

    this thread is in the wrong forum, its not an idea it should be in "art" or "general discussion" as are all "mini-mods" and community content


    not trying to be annoying or anything, but i don't see why this was moved to here...

    This all just such a mess.

    Anyhow, having a support class instead of the Scout could turn out alright I suppose. Even though sneaking around was fun, it just made no fucking sense most of the time.

    as i see it how empty told me about it the scout is still the scout, he just has the hmg now and a sidearm to defend himself and thats it in case of weapons

    and the rifleman lost his hmg because a hmg isn't a rifle anyway

    this way the scout/support can ambush players with hide and hmg, sneak around with pistols and hide in enemy base, or can actively help assaults by providing huge cover fire in walls of led while the real riflemen charge up

    Nah, he'll just get into your base, go hide, and then camp your rax that makes you spawn with 50% health while he guns down everyone with an mg :)
