I had a friend who made a map of his school for CSS, and was nearly expelled when it was found by the principal.
In Germany you could eventually got arrested or sent to psychiatry for this. Some politician here act very nervous when they see school and headshot together.
It's nothing bad until you put guns in it. Making a mockup of a school in a 3d design program, even hammer, is nothing more than practice.
One of my university assignments was to convert the first floor of the admin building to a game level. They provided us with a helpful blueprint. Never finished it.
I used about 500 self taken photos, a way too slow loading map from the 1980s or something and a bird view from http://kartor.eniro.se/
It wasn't actually the guns it's because there's some law or some shit about spreading blueprints of government buildings.
I made a building from my old school in hammer, then i sent pictures of it in half-life 2 (with weapons) to my classmates. Then one of them showed it to the teacher, luckily he was a gamer, or i could've been in trouble.
leaves the question, why would anyone you send this to show something like that to a teacher - your classmates must have a interesting perception of you :eek:
