Every squad member gets to use their own unique squad-ability that would recharge on a timer (say, 1-3 minutes?), and each squad member also has passive abilities that activate when squad members are in close proximity to each other. This way each squad member can use a squad ability like mass-revive or sprint when appropriate without wasting squad points or letting the squad leader hoard squad points without using them. In the case of squad artillery, individuals grenadiers can use it to disable turrets and other targets, but grens can also group together to instantly take down a building or two. That way the massive power of squad artillery is a product of teamwork, not one privileged squad leader changing class and suddenly getting ten kills.
sounds kinda cool but it doesn't really promote squad team work if you get a free squad power every 3mins. I can see cv's dieing so fast in games with this arty power too.
