kai so, I've had it with messing around with google not finding a single decent tutorial about how to create animated textures for the source engine. My last way out was to post here... (or some other forum, but I thought this was the place for some competent answers. If not, it'll be a bunch of troll answers. I AM WATCHING YOU!) Please tell me. I'm too lazy and tired to figure this shit out myself. Is there an easier way to make animated textures than fucking around with .vmt files? It makes my head hurt. Literally
If you see it coming on and the map ends, try this. Leave server, create server of emp_rainbowroad_b2. Rejoin server with B3. I know it works if people load up b2 on the server, then go to b3. I guess it might work on create server, worth a try.
Not really. I was very bored, so I decided to make a hello kitty based F2000 skin for a hexed model (Using it in ZM currently) What I thought of, was making it a pulse glowing edge around the kitty's head. In pink cause I'm badass like that.
No, because the VMT is how you make textures, without a VMT all you have is a bunch of image files, the VMT is the thing that makes the difference between a random image and a material. I assume you want what source calls proxies. If you want actual animated images you need to be able to make animated images in photoshop.
As that appears to be a two frame animation using the photoshop UI and an unwrapped texture of some sort, yes that is probably an animated texture image in photoshop.
