Hot Fuzz is the name of the new movie from the makers of Sean of the Dead. It sounds like some sort of porno, but it's not. It's about police, hence the fuzz thing. Sean of the Dead was itself an awesome movie, and the makers of it had a tough act to follow. Well, my friends, they topped SotD, and with flying colors. I can't give many details of the movie for fear of revealing too much, but I will say this. It starts out pretty good if not a little slow. It gets really ridiculous (almost bad, in fact.) But then it comes rocketing out of a pit of ridiculousness to become RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I won't describe many scenes, but I will say this. Shotgun; flying jump kick; old lady; bad-ass times a thousand. If you liked Sean of the Dead, you will shit your pants at this. In a good way. And there's no romance in this one, either. edit: SHAUN of the dead. SHAUN of the dead! Oh, also, I forgot to mention that it has James Bond in it. (seriously, it does.)
I was planning to go see it anyway. I guess I'll carve out some time to go see it next week. (Theatres on weekends are madness around here).
it's been out for ages. it was a bit of a disapointment because they spoiled all the funny bits in the adverts...
Holy crap, that movie was seriously awesome. It was hilarious. Definetly a must see. I'll be buying this one for sure.
I love how the (spoiler!) explodes and the whole (spoiler) is destroyed and NO ONE IS HURT. Also, the whole situation would have been made much easier for him if he actually HAD a weapon. Jeez! The whole first time I saw it I was like SHOOT HIM! SHOOOOOOOOT HIM! SHOOT HIM IN THE FRIGGIN FACE! And my brit friend was like... dude, he doesn't have a gun. "Is it true, that there is a place in the man's head, that if you shoot it, it will blow up?" And of course... "By the power of GREY skull!" Oh god... and my absolute FAVORITE scene is when that old lady (spoiled) him with a (spoiler) and he fucking (spoiled) her RIGHT IN THE DAMN (SPOIL)! God, that was hilarious. I laughed for like thirty seconds.
Oh, god, I loved that line so much. Also, I love how they included that little animal in the rubble of the building. :p
