When I try to play on the map emp_slaughtered, it says that my version is different and kicks me out. Any help on how to fix this?
shouldn't be a diff version, we didn't modify slaughtered. There is the chance that your installer was corrupted, but, it's slim EDIT: Moved to the correct forum
I have version 2.22 too and I can't play on maps: emp_canyon emp_escort emp_glycencity It tells me that the maps are different from the ones on the server. So I ask you could you please upload those maps somewhare on rapidshare or somewhare and give me the link so I could download them and play on them normaly.
So anyone who have the working maps, upload all the standard maps to some server. They can be all zipped together no problem about that. And then give us the link for it so we all download it and we play empiers

Thanks Coffeeburrito, I downloaded your map files and they are working now My problem is solved. Only that the guy Squidbot says that he can't play on any standard map, so he probably needs to dowload all of them. You could post them for him.
remove ALL of the map's linking files (all files named after that one in materials, resources, maps... .res .txt .vtx .vmt .bsp files.) Try again.
um Is it possible this could be the damn CRC Check bug that no one seems to believe exists? To check if it is,move the map to another directory, try joining a server on that map, and then copy it back to the maps directory. I'm not sure why no one believes this bug exists, but it does.
I uploaded all the standard maps files from my 2.22 maps folder for you to download. These are only the *.bsp files. I compressed them with WinUHA to maximize the compression and made it self extract'able. yes, you can always extract it to some temp directory and then you'll see whats inside. But if you choose the maps folder it will be ok cause I compressed the files directly not a folder.
i got that bug too today, on emp4all, map was slaughtered like the OP. i dled the map in the meanwhile, but it was over before the dl was finished, so i couldnt try it out :\ just wanted to let you know that theowning1 could be right and there is a bug in the crc (both emp2.22 and slaughtered worked yesterday on the same server ...) it could also be, but its something i dont even want to think about, that my HDD is dieing ... nonono, has to be a bug with empries/hl2!!!
