Help Install Please

Ok so I installed it into my Steam mods folder and then when i restarted Steam it didn't appear on my games list. .

Sooo can some1 give me a lengthy explanation of how to install it please ;')

There is a problem with the 2.23 full installer. You can either fix 2.23 by following the instructions here or patch to version 2.24, which you'll have to do soon anyway.

Let me get this right, Ive installed it into my steam mods folder but ive read on other sites that you have to install it into the games folder (In this case Half Life)?

 

Did you install it in your sourcemods folder?

 

It belongs in Steam/SteamApps/Sourcemods

 

I have now but still doesn't seem to work

I really want to play it it looks super pwnage

 

What happens when you start it?
What source games do you have?
Do you got the source sdk bases installed? (required)

I have Half Life 2, Half Life 2 Deathmatch, Halflife lost coast and Portal the first slice =]

All those show up but nothing to do with empire =[

 

You have probably already done this, but restart Steam if you have'nt.

Just relised that my HL2 Data is Corrupt and my disk as scratched to bits i think thats the problem

 

TBH even if you have corrupt core files, it should still be launchable. It won't work when it launches, but there should be the option there. Check the folder for a gameinfo.txt file.

 

Do you have Source SDK Base 2007?

It comes free with most source games, and you do need it.

 

Probably need to install the SDK base on it's own (even if you already hve other source games dled, try doing sdk base as well), check your tools tab.
