Basically this means that a noob or noobsauced vet can't construct a 1000 res(or more if its composite armor) heavy tank and rambo to the enemy base and get it destroyed. You have to admit its annoying when on cyclopean or mvalley where there are like 2 refinery points and some idiot blows 700-1200 res on a heavy tank and gets it blown up right there. The Artillery tank idea is to stop noobs who can't use arty(because apparently NO ONE has the skill to use artillery) and start taking up vehicle pop. Those noobs can use 600-800 res mediums.
I'd modify it like this: Comm can selectively restrict as follows 1. Allow all players to build all chassis/weapons/engines/armor 2. Allow all players to build some chassis/weapons/engines/armor 3. Allow some players to build all chassis/weapons/engines/armor 4. Allow some players to build some chassis/weapons/engines/armor 5. Restrict vehicle creation to all players Comm would restrict chassis/weapons/engines/armor by checking which could and could not be built. Comm would restrict which players by setting a minimum number of skill points necessary before vehicle creation. Also, it doesn't take long for most vets to get points. Even if I join midgame, I can usually get 40 points within 5-10 min.
What matters if a veteran joins midgame, its a communist way of governing money, everyone is allowed at 30 and up, no one is allowed 30 and under. Communism is key to success in empires NOT democracy.everyone gets the same rax, ammo box, armory, vf, and tank chassis, nothing fancy. if everyone got something different teams would suck balls. oh and a veteran can get points like a man or can use a medium tank with DU and UML and RC and HE and shit and get points or use an apc with DU. You are lazy as shit.
I'm thinking seriously about just locking this thread because it's such a bad idea on so many levels.
i'm always on top of the scoreboard and i have no idea what it looks like from the bottom. maybe one of u guys can help me out
this is a bad idea because I can't have my noob teammates giving supporting fire with artillery. @empty: pickled gets points legitimately as do most people that play the game nowadays.
If you rush heavys most people or everyone has less than 30 points usually. Means nobody can use it? On low populated servers its almost impossible to get enough points in time without grinding for it.
Death is ephemeral in empires. You spawn again in 5 seconds, often with more ammo and closer proximity to the enemy than you were when you died. And I killspawn more than most. I acknowledge who is the real threat on the enemy team and take efforts to relocate when I know of their location. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make but 7.5 points a minute is very reasonable if the battle has heated up somewhere. All you do in the first 5 minutes of the game is walk and if you join late your ppm is going to be higher than someone who was there for the whole game.
I still think this is a bad idea, especially for servers with low playercount. Go play more empires on the non-stacked team.
