The other day, razor and I were on be. He got a jeep, and we drove and drove and drove. Basically, he would drive, we would get shot at, but I was in the passenger seat and was able to heal the jeep almost to the point where we were invincible. Nukes would go off next to us (come to think of it, shouldn't nukes kill inf?) and I would just heal us as we drove away. Bug or Hell yeh! FEATURE BTW, Ask Mkoll how hard it was to kill us. Oh, and there is no build (or deconstruct) bar when doing this. If it is a feature, shouldn't i get a pretty bar?
I'm fairly certain that you've been able to do this for months, as Batman and Robin used this "Feature" to gain glory! (Like, since august)
probably. Never thought of doing that... if you can, i'd have to concede that it's quite overpowered. Too much to be intentional, at least.
Have 2 repairing and one dropping mines in the same spot as they drive around the enemy base then +boom = gg base. Hard to coordinate but funny.
Feature imo - considering how much Jeeps themselves are a feature atm. Prolly wise to lose it when ya got an mg and ammo on the jeep...maybe wise to decrease repair effectiveness in jeeps to about 35%
it WOULD be a feature, but judging from the way he describes it, the jeep is almost invincible. THIS is not a feature, THIS is an exploit/bug. If the engie's repair is much less effective while in the jeep as opposed to out of it, then it can be a feature. Jeeps are already balanced in terms of hardiness and toughness; so this just unbalances things. I think it should just be removed and keep things simple. Also, make sure to report this in mantis, guys, and not just here in the forum.
Haha, you were also able to do this in BF2142. When the BSID guys tried out the demo, we discovered that you could heal dropships from within :p
