As a special personal insult to Spartacus on his birthday, I would like to point out that this was nowhere near the first time somebody mistook me for him in-game. Seriously. We're entirely different people, guys. For example, one of us is a rather likeable person with a disturbing fetish for gifs and polls and the other is Spartacus. Wait...
Spartacus gets a special Happy Birthday from me since he's always willing to give me a challenge in the game com vs com. He makes the game fun when you play on his team - which is maybe why I mistook Awesome for Spartacus since they both do that, and their font is very similar Now I'm just waiting to here that GENERAL discussion is the wrong location for this. No kidding? I had a few in-game regulars send their best wishes, but I wasn't aware that we are brothers from other mothers. I know I can't be like hobbes. hobbes is basically the pinnacle of Empires comming. He's a theoretical bar that no real com could ever reach.
It's quite flattering to be mistaken for you ove: There aren't too many that lurk the forums that I can think of off the top of my head. Most of them are content with playing the game and avoiding the forums, but I know MetricMike checks the forums on occasion and I think one or two others have told me they do as well - they just don't post. The trick to commanding Empires is to be Hobbes but without the instant losses. He is a fantastic commander with that one exception. He's never behind on research, gives targets with some regularity and responds quickly to unit requests. The problem with this is that he does all of it from the enemy main.
