So, I was working on this wonderful map for emp, it would become the best one ever, I had a couple of flags on it, along with a few trigger_hurt and such. But then I wanted to try to add in a weapon_strip , to create a little introduction, it didn't work, and after I removed it, not did the bloody emp_cap point work (doesn't show up anything), there's no activation when touching trigger_once, trigger_hurt doesn't do anything. The only thing that really works is spawn points and a button that opens a door. So.. WHY God WHY does my hammer/Empires act like this? EDIT: And yes, of course I have client checked in for the trigger_once and trigger_hurt.

try changeing the name, it seems like hammer isnt getting a complete compile and somewhere just "stops" and uses files it already has
Yeah, it's just that Empires is such a pain to setup with all the files :p But.. It's strange anyway, as the BSP part is the new one, but all brush entities failed, even those I added days ago. And Empty, you aint helping shit. Don't tell me obvious shit.
I do expect it to fuckup a lot if there are brushes being wierd, lighting problems or leaks. I do not expect it to fuck up if there are no visible errors on the vmf itself. Please just stop with the "it will fuck up because it is hammer". I hate those kinds of answers.
Edit > Select all > Copy Create a new map. Paste Special: Make sure to mark no offsets, and you can add a special prefix to all the named entities either to signify it as your own or to differentiate between old and new. Lastly, use the interlopers compile log error checker. There are some fucked up things that hammer does, including having things in your map that you've already deleted but when you try to find them, they aren't there. Just ask shandy or Keif as my witnesses. I've fucked up hammer more ways that even chris could think of, and copy paste to a new file seems to work sometimes.
Some brushes can end up having their origin at the map center, with a far larger size than hammer accepts, but it isn't deleted automatically. If checking for errors or reloading the map doesn't solves that, selecting in the void in a 2D view should select the brush, if not, try selecting the map origin.
I've also had my triggers doing nothing, i tried restarting hammer, re-add the triggers and recompiled, then they worked again..
i have some problems with triggers too, how can i see this is the problem? since it would really take me days to re-add in every trigger by hand
