How about cameras are made hackable. The result of one being hacked could be that it sends out false signals of where people are and could really confuse the opposing team
I'd rather have that they keep showing enemies then, but instead also show allies in the vicinity as enemies for added confusion.
what EVER the solution, it will have to be a pretty damn strong hack to make it useful. (Of course I like the idea... it's me, damn it.) They can already be destroyed super-easy, so the hack would have to be much more useful then other classes. Otherwise the engie can just class change destruct the camera and build another in a slightly less favorable position. The false signal thing sounds hard, Slith's solution would be easier and have the same result. Actually, I say just display teammates as enemies, and not display enemies at all. That's how the hacked radar building works. Remember that the minimap would have to be changed accordingly. Idk how. Of course the cameras would have to be prioritized... any working cameras would have to overpower the hacked one. Same thought process... hackable walls? maybe? idk... idk how on earth you could make that work.
exactly my point, dzzy, if cams WERE hackable, the hack would have to be super effective, otherwise why bother, just unload a clip or two into it. edit: yeah weedy, that too, melee might even be faster, idk.
Because then the engineer would realize his camera is destroyed, and he'd build a new one. Whereas if it's sabotaged, it could possibly sit there confusing the enemy team for the entire game, with the engineer having no clue!
What if there are multiple cameras with overlapping areas, and one is hacked? Would the people in the overlapping area be shown as friends, enemies, not at all?
