GIGABYTE BRIX Gaming BXi5G-760 They fit a 170W 760 in that? lelnope, it's actually a 100W 870M, but they are basically the same thing sans boost headroom. There's pretty serious throttling, so cooling is an issue. Anyone else think this is just a stand-in for a chopped up GM204? If not, then why wouldn't they just use a 750 Ti and eliminate any and all cooling issues?! GM107 is sinfully underused in these sorts of SFF capacities.
Maybe they wanted the extra theoretical performance of a 760 despite the heat problems. GM204 is rumored to have lower TDPs than GK104 so it'll be a better fit. Still, GM107 should be used more, I think. You'll like this: According to this source, the full GM204 GTX 980 has a 165 W TDP. Awesomez!
I liked that Intel guy, how he ran onto the stage and did that "But wait, there's more! Free Steamboxes for everyone!" bit right before the main presentation ended.
The power brick is bigger than the Brix itself... Why does it have to be a box of exactly this size? Why not a little bit bigger and get more cooling headroom?
