Just seems to make sense to me. Take away cameras and radars from engi and give them to the scout to place in his adventures crawling around map.

me likey.. E build or even just place fully built would be fine aslong as they stay as easy to kill as they are now... Also maybe enhanced senses could make cams/radars glow thru walls or something. Another thing to change.. The binocs.
What I dont get is, why remove a feature from one class to force people to play a almost useless class. So people start to scream "we need a scout" just because of one tool. Or with other words they bascially scream for a idiot bitch that places them a camera. EDIT: I still think combining scout with rifleman and removing hide would make a better class than just move features from one class to the scout.
Engies should still be able to place them. Just scouts can do it faster. Maybe as a scout levels up, the range increased? :?
Well, I can't agree with a rifleman who can easily clear out a barracks having saboutage as a helpful tool.
I agree with Mayama on the scout camera part. It just means people will be forced to go scout for the sake of placing cameras. One thing I'm not 100% sure about is if enhanced senses only works for the user (which is what I believe) yet some people think that it works as a mobile camera. Even if it doesn't, that may well be a better option.
A camera or radar secretly placed in an enemies main base can be extremely helpful. Now what if that camera/radar also gave you points for anything that was killed while being spotted by it.. I think this is a great suggestion for a future scout. But yeah, combining the rifleman/scout could be a quick and simple fix. But I kinda like the idea of a ninja type class with a katana and wall jumping abilities who can collect info and relay it to the team.
id like to see hide gone and enh.senses scouts as mobile short range cameras (with engi still having theirs) but whatever, noone gives a shit anyway. i should stick with trolling pickled, thats way more fun :D
My idea is to turn the scout cam-radar (a two-in-one) into a thrown object that is able to stick to any surface, but it only lasts for around 3-5 minutes before it burns out. Could be funny turning an enemy or an enemy vehicle into your own mobile radar. I guess the repair pad & armory can be used to remove it should it get stuck to a vehicle or person.
We should first decide what the Scouts main role is before we add suggestions like this, which may have been stated before but the question is; Do we agree, for the most part, on the role set? I agree with Mayama that this one ability shouldn't be implemented just yet. In my opinion, we cannot implement one idea at a time for the Scout; we have to get several together and redefine the Scout at once and then make minor tweaks.
you just suck at scout thats why u hate it But seriously this is how you get ninja raxes that win a game. I know theyr annoying but hell what can you do. Mortar is much more annoying when not playing the commander.
Make scouts have Cameras that work for infantry AND vehicles, BUT require Line of Sight to function. Keep engies as x-ray cameras / radars that detect outside LOS
