Game won't exit

When I select quit it will act like it quit but its still running in the background... I got pic to show.



I have let it sit there for 10 mins and they still run. I have to kill both hl2 and the overlay manually.

 

you should only need to kill HL2.exe, the overlay _should_ close after about 10 seconds.

 

had that too before
but its a common source bug and not empires' fault
(atleast as far as someone told me)

 

There are ways to check where such process is waiting. You can right click on it in task manager and click Create dump file. Upload such (m)dmp and we might know what happened.

There's known memory corruption in client.dll that's out on Steam and maybe what you had will stop happening after we release fixed one.

 

What version of windows are you talking about... xp can't do that.

 

Maybe you need to be logged on as admin. I don't have XP on any of my computers so I can't check.

 

I R always admin. Its an xp thing. Unless you create a separate account without admin you are admin by default.
