Few things I'd like to know 1: Location (for times) 2: if you have or plan to get your own server 3: Requirements (Teamspeak, messenger etc.) 4: Whether you're a serious/competitive clan or playing more for a fun but better organised game 5: method of contact and IRC channel 6: What, if any, other games you are thinking of supporting.
1. Mostly european. 2. One of us will be upgrading his server in close future and he'll probably make an 20-24 slot server. 3. We are using Ventrilo atm. It's good to use irc client. 4. Both. At the moment it is for organised game on public servers. Later it will be for normal clan wars. 5. #FB-clan at GameSurge 6. Other divisions are CS:S and DOD:S
IRC is for normal chat, Ventrilo is for good communication in-game. No mic needed, as long as you can hear the others. Many use MSN, too. We have arranged events 2-3 times a week and either play against each other or join a public server and work together there. We will always have these events, clan matches will be an addition to the schedule. They won't happen as often as normal events, of course. Working in a team is fun IMO, and more effective. So it's fun, but you have to be serious enough to be able to take orders and such, but that only applies to training events/clan matches. EDIT: I'd also like to mention that we usually have our events at 18:00 GMT... So far both Europe and US people are ok with it.
Doesn't seem everything is too peachy in FB at the moment and from what I've seen in the irc channel, some people take it far too seriously. Had bad experiences with prevoius clans and from first impressions, it looks like it'll be another if I join at the moment
If it looks like someone treats it too seriously say it. If you'll stay at saying some general things like "some people" we won't correct it or even notice.
