Friday - Last Day For VIPER Server

When we found out another USA server is being made available Craig and I decided to seize the opportunity to shut down VIPER.

As many of you know I have been wanting to shut it down for quite awhile but when Craig and I did, we received an out pouring of messages asking us to bring it back. Since there was no other American server to replace VIPER we agreed to bringing it back up.

Now that there is, we can shut it down w/o leaving the Americans w/o a server to play on.

We decided to shut it down this Friday before the G Clans opens of their server to the public on Saturday, to help them populate w/o any competition from VIPER.

Thanks you to those who supported me and the server through out the years, and to those who gave countless hours of adminning.

 

GG Viper. And I'm not even being sarcastic, I have some good memories of playing on Vipers and even if the last one year soured my opinion of it, I'm still very thankful that you stuck with the community and provided a place to play.

 

Thanks to Craig & Vicki for supporting the community and giving me thousands of hours of getting the BE CV stuck in holes on canyon.

Thank you AZK for always being there for me especially when it got tough. I appreciate your friendship and support more than I can say.

 

You & Craig & other former root admins(yes, defective ones too) deserve a medal for supporting EMP for all these years, and providing a relatively low ping environment for Asian&Australian players.

Your work done to preserve EMP community should not be forgotten.

I appreciate you providing a server for the USA. Can't say I ever played on VIPER much because of geography, and I kept my disagreements to myself. Some gratitude should at least be shown.

Thanks to you all for your thanks and appreciation and for those who have the need to be nasty, insulting and rude, it'll be a pleasure not having to deal with you anymore.

 

Thanks for your service, time, and patience (mainly when I mic spammed in spec during bad maps) during good times and bad in the Empires Community, Vicki and Craig. The VIPER server will be remembered for always providing a supportive place for players to learn, grow, and meet new people.
