ok, unlucky about the new patch developers.
Quite a few bugs i've gathered. The first is when I join a server, when the motd comes up i click ok and then bang, freeze, can't do anything (it loops sound aswell). I left it for 10 mintures and it was still frozen on that. I couldn't mimizse out and I could ctrl+alt+delete, alt+F4, F10 , tried it all. So I had to turn my computer off manually.

Second is the instablility the patch has caued. I played 5 games, and 3 of them I crashed as described above (except some of them was half way through a game, others are getting this, i was playing on a 40 man server, and after i crashed and rebooted, it was down to 20, but it wasn't just that server cause it happened on other ones aswell)

Thirdly the game has got alot more laggy with the new patch, and my friend is also getting this lag.

Also I know theres already a thread on it, but the multiple previews are back :o
Except when I was playing on a map, when someone placed a turret, the bugged preview model stayed with the turret even when it was built. It was a MG turret except it had a green wall section through it!

I think you should release a patch to get rid of the 2.1 patch, unless you can fix it quick (flashback to 1.071 lag for me), and then put the patch through internal beta testing (shouldn't take that long right?)

2.1 didnt crash on my pc so far. i had only some diconnects on escort and urbanchaos, because of that missing entity.

the lag didnt get worse in general, but i have a lag spike for a few seconds after i built a vehicle

I've had several crashes on EMP_Money for no obvious reason. it pops up an error message and CTDs.

ok so out of 4 people, 3 of them got unexpected crashes, with that ratio we are gonna lose players very quickly and it'll be like patching 1.0->1.071, it may fix it though no one will come back.

Not a very scientific poll there Pete, people posting in a thread about freezing likely have similar simptoms. I'm actually crashing less than in 2.0, and even though I have those entity errors, it's not that bad.

I, however, am crashing substantially more.

I didn't crash at all really in 2.0, but now I'm crashing every other game.

I sent a bug report to the email with some mdmps.

I thought crashing was a normal processes that occurs every 5 min or so...

My computer has been freezing quite often when I am in a server that has more than 20 people. I'm quicker to blame it on my wonderful Vista operating system, but I never had these kind of issues with 2.0. Oh well, sometimes you have to sacrifice for quality.
